Happy Monday!!!!!

It IS a happy Monday for me - I am on holidays!!  And I had a haircut and colour!!  And I met my gorgeous sister-in-law and niece and nephew at the hairdressers and went off for lunch with them, then for a play at their house.
I wanted to blog about the places which have inspired my photography, so I'm going to start with Lockhart, New South Wales.
The kids, our puppy Angel and I took off on a road trip in March 2010 to Canberra to see the exhibition Masterpieces from Paris at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra - a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!  I made the mistake of driving straight through to Canberra (hey a girl can suffer for her art!) and arriving very exhausted and emotional at my good friend's home in Canberra - having heard on the way that my Auntie had passed away :(  .  I loved loved loved the exhibition (the kids couldn't have cared less and wanted to get out of there!) but my friend made me promise to stop overnight before heading back.  My trusty laptop came in handy when searching for dog friendly accommodation near Wagga Wagga.  Little Rose Cottage looked so sweet and we booked there for the night.  A calming, relaxing, replenishing night it was in this beautiful old charming home, and the next morning I wandered around the garden in my summer PJs and took photo after photo after photo.  Now thinking about our stay Little Rose Cottage relaxes me.

Happy Thursday!!!!

Anyone that knows me well knows that I love a quote or three!!!  Whether it be on my scrapbooking pages or printed fortune cookie insert style and adhered to an ATC!!!!  Here is one for today:

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.

Please ignore the time on my posts, believe me, I am not posting at 1 a.m.

Wow, this is first ever post on my first ever blog!!!!

I am so excited to start my very own blog and feel like an absolute beginner.  I have been inspired by blogs I have visited and was thinking of one day creating my own.  After watching the movie "Julie & Julia" on the weekend, I was inspired by Julie Powell's blog which was the basis of this fabulous movie.  So the whole writing and cooking thing clicked with me.
I have been submitting scrapbooking layouts to Shazza Bishop's blogs ARTastic and FromScreen2Scrap and joined Soul Scrappers this week, so it's about time I stepped out of my comfort zone and put my layouts out there in cyberland.
Enjoy, Sue McVeigh
